How do I remove the coin door?
« on: April 08, 2010, 08:06:55 pm »
I need to paint the front of a cabinet and need to remove the entire coin door.  Is there a way to do it?  It appears that a rivet is holding the frame of the door on.  Its a galaxian, by the way.  Thanks.

Open the door and look inside the cabinet -- there should be nuts on the inside of the cab.
Working: Not Enough

Progress: None

There are a total of 4 bolts that are spot welded to the outer frame. On the inside of the cabinet with the cpontrol panel removed, look down inside at the back of the coin door frame and you'll the holes where the recessed nuts are holding the door frame. An 11/32" nutdriver will remove the nuts anf the door will come off.
