  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
I have the older ipac and just upgraded my mame system with new motherboard. When I hook up the ipac in usb or ps2 mode.
It just ramdomly starts really quick key presses on all the different keys, it just starts typing letters in windows.Like all the keys are stuck. The Winpac software shows all the repeated key presses.Tired everything turned off the usb 2 controller and usb keyboard support in the bios nothing helps.None of my keys on the contol panel are stuck down. This is the only thing holding me up from getting my mame system running any help would be wonderful.

Have you checked to make sure it isn't a wiring issue?  You could disconnect all the buttons and see if it still does it.

I'd start by removing all the wires from the terminals 1st
If the IPac appears normal now, put them back one by one
Defender(multiwilliams), SF2CE
Whirlwind, Lethal Weapon 3

I never messed with the ipac or the control panel i just swaped out the motherboard in the computer and upgraded the hard drive

Dumb question... Is there a real keyboard attached to the cab?  Just tore my iPac apart to find that the real keyboard had fallen behind the pc and was leaning on some keys...   :banghead:
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???
