Questions about TurboTwist High-Low Push-Pull Spinner
« on: April 02, 2010, 12:10:26 pm »
I'm considering picking up one of GGG's TurboTwist Push-Pull spinners, but I have a predicament.

My control panel is a Mameroom panel with a plexi overlay.  It has a pre-cut hole for a spinner, however it's the small hole (1/4" or so?) rather than button hole sized.  It looks like a lot of the newer spinners are button hole sized.

Does this particular spinner use a button hole or the smaller spinner hole?

Next, this is advertised as a top-mount spinner, and has a disk of plexi that it comes attached to.  Could I theoretically remove this plexi disk, drill two screw holes in my plexi overlay, and mount it that way?  Or is it meant to be raised above the surface of the control panel?

My goal would be to avoid drilling out a button hole for the spinner- I don't want to take chances of cracking/breaking the plexi.
