How much vinyl are we talking about? Is it good stuff? Would it stand up to control panel abuse?

AFAIK, this is the stuff that Oscar mentioned a while back.  He gave it a really good review.

Edit: here's an address of the stuff.

I had thought about picking up a few rolls and selling them off to you all to save on shipping.  I remember there being interest, but don't remember how much.  What say you all?

Yeah it is the same stuff.

Oscar's Thread.

I looked at it for about 20 seconds today and it looks good.

I just got a couple of rolls in the other day.
It seems pretty durable & thick enough to do the trick.
It looks & feels just like the overlays on my Xevious Machine & Tron Panel just minus the artwork.
These guys (Parts Express) are great to deal with also.
I had a minor issue so I called them & without going into details, I am now 110% satisfied.
The vinyl iss on sale for $9.88/roll right now.
With shipping 2 rolls total $28.89.
They even sent a complimentary bag of microwave popcorn with the order.
I think that this stuff would work great to cover the front & sides of a cocktail or caberet cab even.
Definately a must for control panel tops if you have no artwork skills like me.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

You're going to cover your Control Panel top with popcorn?  ;)

I have this vinyl stuff on my cp.  Cheap, works, and looks good too.  I recommend buying a rubber roller to press out any air bubbles when applying vinyl to wood.

I'm convinced. I've never been satisfied with the sides of my machine. I think I'm gonna strip it and apply this stuff...

(Sorry for jacking this thread. It wasn't my intention.)
