Mala Mirrors?
« on: March 22, 2010, 06:23:53 pm »
Hi guys,

Been looking at trying my hand in a frontend, and I really like the look of Mala, however I've come across a major problem, the downloads seem to be broken. I've been trying to download it for nearly a week and everytime I do I try to unzip the files, but get greeted with a "unexpected end of achieve" msg. No amount of google/forum searching has provided me with another site/mirror to download it from and I don't know if it's just me, but if someone could please point me in the direction of a download that works for mala? I have downloaded the beta, but still need files from 1.05 release to make it work.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
Hippo

There's an issue with attachments on this forum, its been an ongoing and unresolved issue for some time...

Try getting the appropriate files from the Mala webpage http://malafe.net/index.php?page=download
I just recently downloaded (and upgraded to) the latest beta, and downloads were working fine.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for a swift reply, but that is the main site I've been trying to get them from and it always downloads a corrupted file. I've tried 3 different browsers to d/l it and still having problems. .  :banghead:

It sounds like an isolated incident... :dunno
As I've stated, I have recently downloaded the latest version with no difficulties. Try and get in contact with LoadMan in these forums, he may be able to shed more light on the matter.

Try using WinRAR to unzip

Bizarrely, whilst trying to download the file for the 1348th time, I noticed the file size was supposed to be 5.6mb and mine were all 5.3mb. Out of curiousity, tried downloading it on my laptop and got it no problem first time. No idea what caused this weird problem, but still kicking myself for not trying my laptop sooner.
