Joystick Restrictor Problems
« on: March 17, 2010, 09:59:49 am »
Looking for creative ideas...

I have a couple of J-Stiks from Ultimarc, with the switchable restrictor plate on the bottom.  Works great, and is easy to switch between 4- and 8-way control (I put a door underneath the CP so it's easy to get at).

Here's the issue: I've got the screws on the restrictor plate "somewhat" tight, so I can still switch it by hand.  Whenever anybody plays Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, though, the plate moves itself partway, and you can't get into the corners.

Has anybody else run across this?  I'd really rather not have to keep a screwdriver handy for every time I want to switch the joystick.  Some sort of a screw with a handle (that wouldn't require a screwdriver) would be nice, but I wouldn't know where to look for such a thing.

Thoughts/experiences appreciated...
