WTB: P3 or Celeron for bartop
« on: July 27, 2003, 06:18:46 pm »
I need a dedicated computer for my bartop project.  I figured I would post here because eBay seems very hit or miss for used parts.

I'd like something that can run most games in Mame .60 smoothly - something around a P3 800 or slower.  I need a motherboard with onboard sound/video, CPU, memory, and a power supply.  I don't need any disk drives.

Somebody get on this!  ;D

Please email me through the message board or my website, or just post here.  Thanks.

I've got one that my sister is returning in a few weeks, after she copies her data off. She's been borrowing till she bought a new PC (took her two years!!!)

Its called a Book PC. bki810 ???
Pretty small case. Tiny motherboard, about the size of an ITX but is an older propietary format.
The following is onboard: video, sound, network, modem.
I think their is either one or two PCI slots but the case limits them to half height cards.
Celeron 366mhz is in there now (I have a 533mhz laying in a parts drawer).

I think she's returning the 14/15" monitor too, if anyone has a need for it.
The power supply is tiny too. Good thing you don't need the hard drive cause its only 200MB (I was playing a joke on her, she never caught on). I think the ram is 64MB.

Its in Michigan if you want to pick it up, just make a fair offer.
Mucal invader, is there no end to your oozing?!

I have an Abit BP6 Mobo with dual Celeron 366's in it (both can overclock to 550 no problem with decent heatsinks).

No onboard stuff, but LMK if you're interested.

Doesn't matter now... but I used to have one of those... that wouldn't quite fit in a bartop  ;)
(barely fit in an aopen fulltower case)
