i am in the process of building a cab, and i am using an old laptop and want to use an old tv that i have. the problem is i have no way to connect the laptop to the tv, unless i use a scan converter like
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.28789
. Has anyone used one of these? im just wondering if there would be any lag problems.

I used a similar model way back in the day and it worked fine. I don't think you will see too big a lag problem, but I never checked cause it was just for playing audio/video content.

I have two - they work fine. I use them for creating training videos.
