Just Some Miscellaneous Photos
« on: March 06, 2010, 01:29:16 pm »
I took a few photos last night out of boredom (my wife and baby have been in San Diego for 2 weeks... they come home tonight!)...

This isn't the whole 'cade... just a part.

First up... the Atari Cul-De-Sac...

Now lit up...

Next is the area that WAS my overflow area out in the larger garage...it's now becoming a permanent part of the `cade...

Now lit up...

Finally we have the brothers...

Damn... I have 21 vids, 3 pins, and a Super Six dart cab.   Of the 21 vids,  3 are MAME (vertical, horizontal & cocktail), 2 are Arcadeshop Multigame PCBs (Multipede & Double Donkey Kong +), 1 is a Capcom CPS2 18-in-1, 1 is a JROK Williams Multigame, 1 is a 96-in-1 kit for a Pac... leaving 13 dedicated cabs (and two of those dedicated cabs are multi-kitable (System 1 and System 2).  3 are B&W vectors (Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, and Battlezone) and 1 is a color vector (Tempest).  I actually turned down a $400 Gorgar in good condition Saturday because I have no room left.  >ARGH!<

Awesome Frizz.  I wish I had that kind of room in my house!  As it stands now my "arcade" consists of one cab - in my dining room!!  What kind of square footage do you have for your game room.  The wife and I are considering an addition (or moving) and I want to make sure that whatever we do there is enough space for a couple of cabs...

We have a 3 car garage.  The 1 car portion (10 x 20 approximately) is walled in... that is the "official" gameroom... it holds 13 uprights, a cocktail and the Super Six.... that leaves 7 vids and 3 pins in the 2 car garage portion which also houses my work area and other various "garage" things.

If I knew then what I know now,  I'd have made the 2 car garage side the gameroom and made the 1 car side the work/storage area.  The problem in doing so now is that the 1 car garage side is carpeted and has 2 dedicated 20amp circuits wired.  Oh well...

I wish I had a 3-car garage. I can fit 10 games in my garage; 6 on one side wall, and 4 on the back wall, all have an outlet with a dedicated switch. I can do a double row in the middle, but that makes it really difficult to do any work in the garage, and would require more wire and beer to get the wiring done (it is nice to have two friends who are electricians). My MAME cab is in my office, and my pin is in the dining room, which means that there is at least one game in every room in the house that I can remotely consider mine. Crap, forgot about the kitchen, I need to work on that. I have the 360 and the wii in the living room GBA in the bathroom. I guess I will just have to keep my phone with me when I go into the kitchen. :)

Your arcade is looking good Friz.
