Where to buy 0.187 Spade (blade) connectors in quantity?
« on: March 05, 2010, 10:31:18 am »
I previously saw a site that was specialized in connectors.
They were selling 0.187" spade connectors for $4 per 100, but I can't seem to find that site now.
It was something like ____connectors.com
Anyways, they had a large selection and had some other connector that I wanted to get, so if anyone know of the site, or an alternative good site for crimp connectors, let me know.

Thank-you.  They have both male and female 0.187" connectors so this is great.

I'd prefer the fully insulated variety for the female connectors if anyone has any other suggestions.

I was searching for these all over yesterday (Radio Shack, Home Depot, Advanced Auto Parts, Ace Hardware).  The stores either had them in the wrong size (I noticed .250 is very popular) or in combo packs that had a little of everything.

The auto place had a little bag of 10 female quick disconnects for $8!  Insane pricing...   :dizzy:

I just ordered (like, 30 minutes ago) a bag of 100 quick disconnects from Divemaster for about $7, which is a heck of a lot better than I was seeing locally.

Oh, and for posterity- the .187 quick disconnects are also sometimes known as 3/16" quick disconnects.   :blah:
WANTED: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O. Box 322, Oakview, CA 93022. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.

I'll take "What do you get if you divide 3 by 16," Alex.   ;D

shateredsoul, thanks for the info.

They get used up like water.
I found I used about 120 connectors for the 1st panel with about 10% going to errors.

really? I might have to order some more then.. i'm waiting on my control panel to be built and only bought 100

27 buttons, 2 8 way joysticks, 1 4 way joystics,

56 for buttons, 24 for joysticks = 80

do you use another kind of quick connect to connect the wires to the ipac? or do you just use stripped wire for that part?

if anyone's near a Fry's Electronics, that's where I used to get them.  They have the 0.25" online, so they could probably SO the 3/16" for you.

I'm at 43 buttons + 2 joysticks and then some, so that's over 100 connectors there.
Plus LED(s).

I'm using a UHID not an ipac.

screw terminals on the ipac. Just strip the wire and insert.
2 of my joysticks used .25", which was way easier to find locally than the 3/16"
got my 3/16" on ebay for roughly same price as everyone else (though it may have been from divemaster via ebay). roughly 5$ per 100

Locally grainger and johnson electronics wanted like $17 for 10. crazy.
