Woohoo! I still haven't finished Mega Man 9, but it's still awesome to see this come out! I'll have it when I get home, as well!

Mega Man 10 has an easy mode, so you'll probably end up finishing this one before 9.   ;D

I have to wait at least 8 more hours - I was so exhausted by the time I came home from work and the gym I passed out!  :hissy:

Well, I got to play it a little bit last night after messing around with my Wii - the shop channel wanted me to update to system menu 4.2, and I didn't want to lose my soft mod work, so I wound up downloading MM10 (it may be the first time I felt bad about downloading anything). Holy crap is it hard! I think I played it for about 30 minutes and the only level I was able to get through was Sheep Man! I'll have to brush up on my MM skills before heading back into the fray.

Do you not have Priiloader installed? It can block those updates.

Nope - I've been using various methods to update and I'm not sure how my Wii isn't a brick yet.

Haven't heard of Priiloader, I'll have to look into it tonight. If I can buy the game, I will. Definitely worth the purchase.

Also got MM10 this week....tell me though...is this game supposed to be this  :censored: hard, or am I just too old / too big an idiot to get it?  I haven't seen boss one in MM9, and even the easy mode is trying to kick my tail!

Yeah,
Mega Man games are tough.
You know a lot of the old Nintendo
games were hard.
The easy mode on Meaga Man 10
isn't that difficult.
I beat it on the easy mode,
but the normal mode is handing me
my butt.

I've beaten 1-9 and this is easily one of the toughest in the series. Crazy part is that once you beat it on normal, "hard" mode opens up. Can't wait to see what that is all about...  ::)

BTW, don't feel bad about the bosses - Only one I've seen is Sheep Man. Haven't played it much this past week, though.

I kept messing with the easy version of MM10 and FINALLY got to the end of the level with the first boss (sword man? blade man? something like that).  Even though the little things that come out of the castle after you beat my behind, I felt a sense of pride in finally seeing the end of one level of a Mega Man game!

Yeah it's Blade Man.

So, I beat the game on easy, knowing I had to, so that certain challenges are unlocked (a MUCH easier list than MM9 overall), and decided to give normal mode a go. Good lord, what a difference! I've been busy playing some old school Lunar on my Nes-puter lately, so I haven't played MM10 in a week, but I'm gonna have to give it a serious once over sometime this week. I shall beat it, oh yes, I shall....

I beat MM9 with relative ease (note I said relative.... mega man games are HARD!) and I can honestly say that mm 10 is significantly easier, easy more or no easy mode.  Beat it in a week.

I think this retroification of mega man is done with.  Or at least I hope it is.  Playing mm10 wasn't nearly as much of a "this is frikkin awesome" moment as mm9 was.  Apparently you CAN go home again, but only once every few years or else it isn't as special.

I did like the machines on the last level that use the powers of bosses from previous games,  nice touch.  Also there are portraits of some of the old bosses in the levels if you look closely.

I think there will never again in my life be a time when I can spend that much time on Mega Man.  Hell, I'd love to be able to put a few hours per week into any videogame.

Very nice, sir!

Thanks!  Glad to see other Mega Man fans here.  I really didn't set out to accomplish this list being that it's so time consuming.  I remember last year MM9 came out and I glanced at the challenge list and was like ..never.  But this year my car broke down, leaving me and my fiance sharing her car.. and when she would take off to run errands, MM10'd it.  Took me a solid week to get all gold crowns on the Challenge 1 list..  and about 3 days after work to get the one I purposely saved for last    :timebomb: MR. PERFECT  :timebomb:

I've been contemplating if I should even attempt the MM9 list.  Because I'm about to get my car back and I'm the kind of guy who once starts something has to finish it.. and I am looking at the list and literally crapping myself with terror.

By the way, did anyone get this for the PS3?  I d/l it on the Wii but one thing I couldn't stand was the Z button on the back of the Wiimote, there were so many times where I was at a critical point in the game then accidently hit the Z button and switched to another suit totally messin me up..  and I hated how the A button was to switch back because I would either have to stop forward progress and use my left hand or let my guard down and use my right hand..  I'm just curious what the controls are for the PS3 because if I like what I hear, then I might just d/l it on there so I can fully enjoy it and do it all over again.
