I got My Road Blasters in May of 2005 in fairly good working condition. I got it for $65. I considered it a steal compared to what some of the others where going for. Maybe no one knew that the pedal for THIS cab was inside the game? not bolted to the front like all the other Road Blasters. I can't remember if I had tested it, but once I got it I fired it up and played. but it was missing some side art and the marquee looked like poo.
It was also missing a board that would cover up components inside it. No big deal. New artwork...couple bucks on some wood..a fresh coat of paint and I'd be good to go.
Stingray got me started on some new artwork that I wanted. Then I learned to vectorize. I did the marquee and side art that he started

I wanted to fix this thing and getting running in as near to mint condition as I could. But..you know..with modern stuff. and my own custom side art.
Having built some mame cabs, I know there's nothing to wiring up some buttons..but I hadn't done anything with steering wheels (Road Blasters is an optical steering wheel) and the pedal (potentiometer).
So ....in the only way I know how..I started breaking stuff:
