how to setup scanlines on mala and another question

ok, i have mala running well, but i'm looking to get scanlines enabled on mala, as the cab i'm building is using an LCD.

also, is there a way to have artwork borders on vertical games while the game is being played, to cover up the black bars?  if so, where do i grab those?

but as you can see from my pic below u still get black bars along the side and your paying area seems to decrease

ATI Catalyst Control Center should allow you to add scanlines to a monitor... Assuming you have an ATI video card, of course.

yes there is in most emulators mame has them i know the atari ones do

i do, in fact have an ATI video card.  9600 pro

seems to be the lowest it can go is 800x600 though.
