I am trying to talk a friend through setting up a game cab over IM and he's using mamepp.exe. Mamewah setup seems to be freaking out. What's the difference?

mamepp.exe is for Pentium Pro. Tell him to use the regular version, and not necessarily the newest one, if he doesn't need to. I use
MAME .79
, compiled with
Alan K's patches
and MAMEWAH .97 and this setup has been flawless for me.
