I’m attempting to build a miniature arcade cabinet but without currently having any electronics skills. I’ve managed to get Retropie running from an RPi0 on small Waveshare display but now I’m seeing if I can get some tiny buttons and a joystick rigged up. I’m trying to avoid jumping into the world of breadboards and soldering just yet and am seeing how far I can get with pre-made connectors.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to connect ‘D2fc-f-7n’ micro switches to a zero delay board with F2F jumper cables? I think these micro switches are too small to use faston terminals like the full scale arcade button kits.
Most of the time, switches like this are soldered to a PCB.
There's a good chance that F-F Dupont jumpers will work.
- There are some useful images and tips for using them with solder-tab buttons in this post.
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135525.0.html- Not sure if your switch tabs are the same size as the button tabs.

If the jumpers don't work, you might be able to use 0.110" (2.8mm) female Quick Disconnects instead of the usual 0.187" (4.8mm) QDs which would be
way too large.
- You might have to slide the switch tab in on one side of the female QD then gently squeeze with a pair of pliers to ensure a solid connection.

This diagram shows the common (COM) and Normally Open (NO) tabs.
- You need to connect the wires from the ZD to these tabs.
