Just a simple article on how to use various game controllers with a PC.   Many are obvious but there are some good links to different pieces of software that are available.

They forgot to mention or were not aware of the Xpadder program for the 360 controllers.

it allows you to configure any button, stick, or trigger on the controller to mimmic any keyboard or mouse function.

even point and click mouse games can be played with the thumbstick only by using its R3  :lol

Interesting - I didn't know you could use the Wii remote on PC!  Thanks for the link.

There is a lot of work on using Wiimotes on PC, both Windows and Linux.  I used WiinRemote to interface the Wiimote with a medical volume renderer in grad school.
