Electrohome G05-805 Reccomendations
« on: January 24, 2010, 11:10:35 pm »
Al,

I've recently removed my G05-805 from my Asteroids to repair it.  There are some burn marks on one of the boards, and one broken component.  I'm looking for some suggestions on what I should do to this monitor to repair it as best as I can before plugging it in to test it.  I was planning on giving it a cap kit, and fixing the obvious parts that need fixing.  I would like some advice on how best to deal with the burned areas and was wondering if anyone could identify the broken component.

Pictures of the monitor are in my restoration thread here.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hey again,

Still looking for advice here.  I need a replacement for a 4k7 Trim Pot according to the manual, but I don't see one listed on Bob Roberts page.  Can someone chime in on a replacement for that part?  Pictures can be found here in my restoration thread.

Thanks
