Router, first use
« on: January 19, 2010, 04:52:54 pm »
I used my router for the first time last night (bought a used Ryobi for $30 a while back). I'd just like to take this time to say that this has got to be my favourite power tool of all time. Does everyone fall in love with this thing on first use? It's like a magic eraser for wood, it's fantastic!

That is all, get back to work.

I have a ryobi. Theyre not super great, but ok. I dig the light inside so you can actually see what your cutting/what the bit is doing.
I also like the hefty top on it, so its pretty stable when flipped upside down to change out bits
Yes they are fun, but wow can they do some damage if things go wrong. be safe always!

Sure beats using an angle grinder! Those things hate wood  :lol :lol (great for laminate though - seriously)
