Frontend for PC games also?
« on: January 18, 2010, 01:37:09 pm »
Just wondering if any Mame frontend can throw in PC games as well.  I ahvent found one that does yet.  Would be awesome for games like Typing of the Dead and Raiden 2,3 that I have on my PC.

Check out the wiki.  It shows which ones can.  Of course, it may be a little out of date and more recent FE's can as well.  But it's a great place to start.

The five that show and spring to mind that do are (in no particular order):

AtomicFE
GameEX
Hyperspin
Mala
Mamewah

Those are also highly followed and used here so if you have problems getting them setup, just post and someone will help.

EDIT:  Looks like my list is alphabetical....

It's pretty trivial to do that with Mala. I fire up DukeNukem and Step Mania that way from Mala (as well as launch a BAT file to shut the system down).

Hey Loadman

If you haven't checked it out,

And definitely download the hires pack. It's utterly fantastic! Duke, widescreen on a 24" monitor in native res with hires graphics.

Good stuff!

3d arcade can also be set up to launch PC games.
