windows 7 resolution woes
« on: January 09, 2010, 03:47:31 am »
Before, I was hapilly running an atlhon xp machine with windows xp, hookedup to my 32" panasonic widescreen CRT television through RGB scart, which worked great at 1024x600. Unfortunately, it is not working after the switchover. Before I used soft15khz with a custom modeline in the custom15khz.txt file to add the desired resolution. However, eventhough the resolutions seem to show up in the selection box as valid selectable resolutions, their output remains 31khz non-interlaced. Im running all this on a geforce 7950 GT with the latest forceware 195.62. Does anyone know how and if the nvidia resolutions string format changed in the registry or something, and knows a method to manually add at least one custom resolution that will work (1024x600)? This is the modeline I used before: Modeline '1024x600@50,201' 20,9 1024 1072 1176 1328 600 607 610 627 interlace -hsync -vsync
