One more cab....
« on: July 22, 2003, 09:26:05 pm »
My cab is now playable at least.  Not sure it'll ever really be done.  Keep finding things I want to do to it.

Figured I'd let the world have a peek.

Thanks to everyone for there help.  Even if you didn't know you were helping.   Howard_Casto, Saint, Minwah, SirPoonga, etc..

Wow looks different!  I like the monitor bezel, like you're framing a little work of art (pacman!).  Not many go the natural stain finish route....that looks pretty nice.  What's the wood?

Thanks,

Its 3/4" Oak with high gloss stain.  The wife said it had to look good if it was going in the house.

I wanted something original.

Here's a pic of it opened up.

P.S.  AlanS17, you'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Wow, someone thanked HC.

Nice cab.

I wonder if it will all go to his head ;)

I like the cabinet too.  It's differently shaped and  I like that.

The wood bezel fram is neat too (as someone already mentioned)

do you plan on painting the monitor bezel black  (or something) so the white doesn't show? (just a thought...)

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I definitely think I need to paint that monitor bezel black.  That whole wood bezel was just a temp thing until I get the bigger monitor in there.  The Marquee is just temp too until I figure something else out.

But now I'm too busy playing the darn thing!

I'm finding I like tinkering with the software just as much as the hardware.  Trying to get all the emus working the way they should, finding that missing snap, etc.  I recently switched from ArcadeOS to MameWah and really like it.

Now, if I could only get UltraHLE working with my Geforce2.  Darn Glide wrappers!
