Vpinball help! No keyboard input / cant start table
« on: January 03, 2010, 09:40:27 pm »
Pulling my hair out. Tried to search for similar problem and couldnt finf anyone with same problem.

I lauh vpinball correctly and table appear properly with blinking lights on it but none of the inputs work. Cant add credit, use plunger, flipper, start button or anything else. When I exit the emulator I can see a small window in the back that disapear quickly. It says that the game is pause and ask if I want to continu playing or quit. Cant click on it since it closes with the emulator. Not sure if it has anything with my problm (maybe this window just appear when closing the emulator...)

I have been trying to use vpinball on 2 machines without success. Both on Windows 7.

What is going on ?

Thank you

Queeg

Are you able to set the controls in vpinball at all? Try that first to make sure that vp is even accepting keyboard input at all and not just paused when a table is playing.

Are you running vpinball in administrator mode?  I've had problems with both VP and Future Pinball on Vista until I ran them as administrator.

I installed "LaDite" AtomicFE module and redownloaded up tu date roms and some tables are working now... but some dont. I guess it's a rom problem since vpinball tells me it is expecting some other files...

you can grab different types of roms from vpforums.org

if you have a sstng_lx7.zip and the table wants lx6 download the other one problem solved
