K7000 rejuvenation
« on: December 22, 2009, 01:44:30 pm »
Hi
I got old, but fully working WG K7000 (after new capkit). However the contrast is weak, the colours are dim (if I turn contrast pot to more than 60% of its range, colours will bleed badly). The red and blue guns, seems to be weak. I was wondering if rejuvenation would help it. I know some good technician who would do it for very little cost, however he mentioned, that it doesn't have to work, or it can work, but for a short time.
The tube type is RCA A63ABG25X and it was probably mounted in original Dead or Alive cabinet.
Should I rejuvenate this tube?

It wouldn't hurt to hook it up and run some tests.
