Stupid Mamewah question regarding Skins.
« on: July 21, 2003, 06:38:42 pm »
Hey hey!  It's the guy who started to compile the mamewah FAQ :)

K, this is an easy one: I'm creating my skin.  K.  Skin is ready to go.  I throw it into Mamewah, and the background's gone!  Where did it go?  The bmp file is in the same directory as the .lay file.  Should it not be a .bmp?  Does it have to have a specific name?  I pointed the layout creator to use it, but does it not retain the filename?

Halp!

Tanks,

Yeah, sorry this time round the filenames are important.  Read the 'layouts.txt' file in the '\mamewah\layouts' folder - should explain all :)

Sorry, I should've clarified.  I'm still using 0.952b .  Haven't upgraded yet - stupid broadband has been down since I moved... 3 weeks ago!

Oh sorry.

Does the background appear when you re-open the .LAY in the designer?

Yes, as a matter of fact, it does.

I'm in the middle of downloading the newest beta in hopes that will solve my problem.

Thanks,

Yeah, I downloaded the new beta and adjusted my new skin to comply with the naming conventions - works like a charm.

Thanks!
