degaussing help
« on: December 06, 2009, 09:58:03 pm »
I moved around one of my 19'' CRT's mounted it / flipped it upside down, and noticed some really whacky rainbow colors on both the left and right sides, I tried the drill trick with a magnet but maybe I'm doing it wrong. What's the best method to fixing the rainbow / degaussing . I can move the colors around but it seems to come back. I spun the drill with a magnet attached aprx 2'' away from the screen and then moved my drill back slowly. I've heard of degaussing wands but I would like to fix the issue without purchasing any other additional tools. Any help is appreciated. I can provide pictures or video if needed.
