MAME / Amiga Arcade - 2player with art
« on: December 04, 2009, 06:12:56 pm »
Here's the monster so far...

MAME is up and running with a hyperspin front end.
I customised it a little with the games/things I was into as a kid.

The trick will be to get Amiga games up and running as well...
I haven't heard of anyone getting these two compatible.

Cool

I will be interested in seeing this Amiga issue resolved as well. Please be detailed when/if you get it up and running. I am guessing you will be having key mapping issues?

No worries, if I get it working I'll describe the entire process of getting mame/winuae working together harmoniously in a new thread.

headkaze may know more since he's done a heap of brilliant work with winuae, tho i'm still somewhat a novice to such things.

I've managed to load Amiga games just fine with Maximus Arcade + WinUAE Loader. I've only tested with ADFs though as I don't have a registered version of WHDLoad (I used to though, when I had my A1200). The best thing is definitely to write custom config-files for each game, but that'll take some time of course. :)

I'm in the process of building a new cab now and there are some Amiga-games I want on it, so I will report back if I find a smooth way of running them from a front-end.

Bumpidy bump - my cab is almost complete, and I desperately want to have Amiga emulation on it, to bring back my glory days of youth (dreaming of Kick Off 2, Turrican, Speedball 2, Gods, and dozens of others) so would love to see if someone can finally get this resolved.
Mammy, why is everyone pointing at my cab and laughing?
