Namco Editions
« on: December 03, 2009, 04:20:18 pm »
Does anyone know if there are any other editions of Namco machines besides "Class of 81" and the "25th Anniversary Edition"?
Thanks!

I know that Namco has put out a Donkey Kong / Donkey Kong Jr. / Mario Brothers cabinet

http://www.amazon.com/Donkey-Kong-Jr-Mario-Brothers/dp/B000GF7L4M

The link shows a "cabaret" (i.e. "mini") cabinet, but I've seen a couple of the full-size upright cabinets and they are very pretty.

Check around a local distributors. I've seen these closed out for $1899 a couple years ago.

Namco?  Really?

There's also the Williams and Atari versions of their own.

I've played the full size version with the big monitors, and while it's awesome and all, it's almost too unoriginal. This cabaret seems like it might be pretty dang sweet.

What's your boss's budget?  Knowing that, some informed suggestions can be made to help you (and him) figure out what he should be considering/looking at.

If he's gonna blow that much on a multi-game machine, he probably wants new and full warranties, etc, so I say go for this:

PS: I can't believe anyone in their right mind would title a game "Puck Off" : http://www.globalvr.com/products_po.html

NO MORE!!

I've played that machine Ray, it's pretty sweet!  They have it at a casino around here along with the newer DK trio machine, the ms pac/galaga, and space/ invaders qix. I tell you I almost fell over seeing it all there.
