I bought this cab a few weeks ago for $50 hoping I could restore it for cheap.  The original cab is VS Super Mario Bros. but someone obviously put the mario bros plexi and marquee on it.  The monitor appears to be the original nintendo sanyo.  When I turn it on, the monitor comes on and the smb main screen appears.  There is a humming sound coming from the speaker, but when I insert a coin the speaker does make the correct coin sound.  The pcb looks like it's in good shape and everything appears to be connected correctly.  The problem is that after the monitor boots up to the smb main screen, it will continuously flicker on and off.  However, when I insert a coin, the "how many players" screen appears and no flickering.  BUT, once I choose 1 or 2 players, the monitor goes back and restarts it self to the main smb screen again and continues the flickering.  I took a video of what happens:

I also took a video of the monitor's board inside the cab because as this flickering happens, a small glass tube on the monitor's board flashes a small red light that continually comes on and fades off.  Here's a video of that:

Finally, I took 2 pics of the pcb because I want to make sure there's nothing wrong with that:

Please let me know what you think the problem is.  If it's the monitor, is there any quick fix?  If it's the pcb, would the monitor most likely work perfectly with a new pcb?  BTW, I kind of a noob with this stuff so any help appreciated!

i'm no expert but that seems like a problem with the game pcb. if it were the monitor then inserting coins, etc would not be likely to affect it at all, so probably the monitor would be fine with another pcb.
