My first project Artwork...Comment or ideas?
« on: November 17, 2009, 10:00:56 pm »
OK, so I've been working on this off and on (more off than on) for about a year.  I used a two level design. If i remembered where I got the idea, I would give proper credit.  The only real change I made to the design was to move the flightstick to the lower lever, as to keep it out of the way of the screen.  My Garage/Bar/Mancave is done in flames, so I tried to keep to the theme.  I own a laser cutter, so I designed all the parts with MasterCam and laser cut the MFD and the acrylic.  I am planning on having the graphics sandwiched in between the MFD and the acylic.  So far I have almost completed the cpo.

I love the font you used for the marquee. Nicely done!

For the CP, are you actually going to have "4-way stick" on the cp or is that just for illustration purposes?

Also why does the 4 way stick have 8 arrows?

You might consider moving the buttons on the bottom level up a little. that'd give you a little more wrist rest room there.

Will having the flight stick right in the middle interfere with the trackball? Just curious. If the upper level is tall enough, probably not.

Finally, one thing that I did was put the credit and start buttons vertically on the riser to the second level. Keeps them off the main cp and gives a little life to that area that would other wise just be blank space.

The flames aren't really my taste, but they do look good
