whats the best solution to 2 signals ---> 1 monitor?

I have a d9200, which takes a VGA signal from a PC.  I also have dreamcast with the vga box.  What's the best way to switch between the two? A switch box?  Anyone use anything better?  And is there a smaller, or better one than this:

Also, will these type of switching boxes hamper the ArcadeVGA signal in anyway(since it's not a standard PC signal sometimes)?

I use the exact same thing with my xp pc and my 2000 "practice" pc (1 monitor) and it works great. That price beats what I paid for mine at a local comp store also, if that helps.

Ew.. don't get one of those.. they are manual switches.. they make auto switches that are much higher quality.

My manual switch was also just like this and after a while it broke.. also had some issues, like screen ghosting (use VGA cables with ferrite rings or you'll still have that issue), color issues, and occasional lock-ups.  The auto switch still works great, supports plug 'n play (mine has keyboard/mouse, too, though), and can be reset in the rare instance when it locks up.

Go to pricewatch.com and look up "auto KVM switch," then go to one of the retailer's pages and find one with just VGA inputs.  You'll be glad you spent the extra few bucks.

Got a call as I was typing .. but wanted to mention, the ones with keyboard inputs also support hotkeys for switching input, which can be useful.

I use a 4 way like the one above.works great.  
HOWEVER,must get vga cables WITH filter.
I bought a cheap cable first and dreamcast screen was kinda jumping(VERY minor).
then bought a svga cable with filter for $20 and everything works great.
