I was born in 1990, but sometimes I also miss the 80s.   ;D

Ahhh Propaganda !!!
YES ! Wherever did they disappear to ?

Since this is a complete useless thread anyway: The moment I hear that song I get warped to the 80's instantly.

I am 16 and I have my first summer job at Buger King in Rotterdam. (Hated it, but it bought me computer hardware :) ).
Under the BK there's a disco. Before my shift I change cloths in the dressing room which is below the restaurant and apparantly next to the the disco because it is there that I hear that song for the first time at full volume. DAMN I loved it !!! It's one of those moments you don't forget.
It's nothing, but you just don't forget.

Now, to make this thread even more exiting  ::) I have a quiz question: In what famous Atari ST game was the keyboard "solo" (starts at 3.17) of this song sampled ?

Propaganda wasn't all that popular in North America. "P-Machinery" got tons of play when MTV launched but beyond that, they didn't see even a fraction of the fame they had in Europe. Then the vocalist got a big head and quit to form "Act" and *poof*. bye bye
NO MORE!!

Man, I like some of Human League, but I remember thinking this was one of the gayest tunes he/they ever did. Still is. (I could explain, musically, why this is the case.....) Second one ain't bad, but..........It's curious a lot of these b-side tunes were, like, really big in EU.....

How bout these instead:

Electric Dreams actually was a Georgio Morrodor and Phil Oakey song, not a Human League song.

You can call it gay, or rubbish or whatever you like, but I've long reached the point in life that you say what you like and don't give a damn about what others think about it :D

I love that song, and the video (didn't remember it) looks REALLY 80's.

Just like this one, and you're probably gonna say it's gay too :D

Na, that's a cool diddy. I mean, even then, I would've assumed it was a little retro, cos of that disco-soul sound, but I'dve liked it. It goes somewhere harmonically. The Electric Dreams tune doesn't, even worse because it revolves around a major triad appegiated to assume some melodic contour. Just fail.

(And what's with these chumps who don't allow external embedding? Why would they care?? LAME.)

Yeah weird, well this one is posted by Universal music, I guess they just don't want to see it directly on other sites....

The one's you posted:

Simple Minds is a classic of course, love that. I didn't even know the other songs ! Interesting stuff ! :D

Huhn. Gary Numan is actually a brit. Looking him over on youtube, I found a semi-recent interview. Way casual dude, very attractive-sounding, yet sort or windy baritone. Who'da thunk?

And Missing Persons I think was an L.A. or Bay Area band. They had a few good tunes, but that's my favorite.
