FWIW, nobody meant to imply the dude is an invalid.  We're trying to tell him he may well become one if he doesn't take charge of this problem.

I know.

I still need to send them from my phone to my sisters phone so she can email them to me (pics)

I go back to the Jewish hand specialist DEC 2ND. Finger is still in a splint.
hunting sucked. I missed everthing I shot at. At one point a Buck just turned around and looked at me. I could just read his mind. You have to be kidding me. ( I did have a new gun with me)

I went home and grabbed my old 30-30 (was my grand fathers) next morning I got a 8 point buck.

This accident is starting to cost me some cash.

I allways do most of my own car repairs. I went to change the fuel pump in my van, first I disconnected the fuel line. Yep you guessed right. Gas went right on my bandage,  :censored: :censored: :censored:.
I quickly replaced line and put my butt back into the house.
now I have to pay some one. also I have had to buy propain, I can not grab the logs to split the wood. My 13 year old daughter helps me, but (hope she never reads this) her will is stronger than she is.
I have a plumbing leak in the bath room. I can not seem to get to it one handed.
I said the heck with it all today.
I went to the bank, took out a 5 year loan (I am only getting a $5,000) loan i am going to get my plumbing fixed, cars fixed, and just heal. I have done damage to my body in my 43 years but I think this one tops them all

So what was the first thing that went through your mind?

1.  Damn!  I need to get to the hospital, quick!

2.  Damn!  I need to get a picture of this freaky finger, quick!

:D

Dude, it would appear that you just have some very bad luck. Didn't you also get in a car wreck not to long ago? I hope that you get that issue resolved with your passing out, and if you do continue to split wood and play with chain saws, I suggest you keep a few pigs around to shoot instead of bucks. I hope you get better soon.

I haven't caught up on reading this topic for a while now...just due to the shock of the first pictures. But it looks better than it sounds.
I think the thing with movement will take quite a bit of time. I had a bunch of nerves cut around one of my knees during surgery a few
years back. It took about 6 months for the feeling to be somewhat normal.

As far as the money thing...and the deer thing (at least you got one that's better than most do a season.) it'll all come around.
Bad things seem to pile up together. Don't let it get you too down. Winter time tends to make things seem worse than they are
due to all the dark weather and the cold. I'm rooting for ya. It'll get better I swear!

 :)

update:
finger is much better now. still a bit hyper sensitive. not as bad as before.
looks a bit funny still. scar feels more like a over tight rubber band on my finger. I have most of my movement back..

I have a tendency to still hold that finger out. I do it with out even thinking about it. I have to mentally retrain my self to use it.

I was doing a change over yesterday on one of the machines I was running. (The second shift operator is HUGE!!!! Very strong) he seems to over tighten EVER THING. the allen wrench vibrated when the bolt came loose. That hurt like heck, then I whacked it with a socket wrench

wife's car is all back together. now I just have to fight red tape at court house for salvage title and have sheriff inspect the car.

traded my Blazer, (getting my van painted, and new fenders, hood and grill put on) Van was bought here on buy sell trade

bought my old 1978 F150 custom truck back.  I had a carb rebuilt and bought new front shocks, still need to install. Very cold outside. cold hurts my finger.

drinking: cut it down drastically. (still drink to much though)
used to be 3 cases of ice beer every week.  Ice beer is 6% alch.

now I drink light beer 3.2 % alch and 2 cases every week

fainting spells seem to have gone. high blood pressure seems under controll.
still have red markings on my tummy. (Liver problems still I think)

finances are doing MUCH better.

every thing is up to date. no more late fees!  :applaud:
weight is down. went from 220 lbs to 198 lbs I am 5 foot 9 inches.

Wow... glad to see you're doing so much better!    ;D

Definitely gotta cut back further on the beer if you're having visible liver problems, bro.  Keep at it!

3 cases of beer a week  :o

Wow. I thought my 3 cans of Dr Pepper a day was bad  ;)

I quit that, like, about 3 years ago. Don't really miss it anymore. Get a carbonator and some lemons or limes. Just as tasty and no sugar/carbs (and a LOT cheaper too).

Good to hear you're doing better though!

put the rebuilt carb on the truck today.
1 barell carb straight 6 300c motor = (work horse) (very LOW GEERED)
SWEET!   hit the gas pedal to the floor 1 time, closes the choke.
let off gas, turn key and purrrrrrrrr! still idles at 12,000 rpms , new it should idle at 500 rpms. sounds like a big difference but not really.  I hear a small miss fire, and a bit rich smell in the exhaust.

not normally this anal on my rides, but this Truck is almost mint. Plan on keeping it that way. I would put pics up but the front seal is out. 1 to 2 quarts a month leak  :-[
need to fix and steam clean motor before pics!

I was running out of good wood to burn. winter storm coming tonight.

I have plenty of of logs cut up from last year. just not split. I went out today and split a truck load, I need to get back at it! arm and hand strength is no were near what it should be!.  I was fine till the time I stopped and got in the truck!!!!!  :censored: :censored:  IT!
my finger started to shrink up! That's what it looked like to me. Damn that hurt!
I went in the bed room with my finger in my mouth and tears pouring down my face!

My poor wife damn near pissed her self,.... She jumped up and looked at me and said "DID YOU DO IT AGAIN!" !!!

I just shook my head with my finger in my mouth. Tears coming down my cheeks. took me a few seconds to  say NO! it is just wet and very cold! Hurts like HELL!!!!
came on very quick! I was fine one second next NOT!

Je-SUS. This thread was before my time here, and after reading it...  :o Craziness. Thats awesome that it got sewed on and everything was working etc.

The pics were metal.  :notworthy:
Pictures are overrated anyway.
