Author Topic: arzoo: Asteroids, LEDBlinky, Controls Editor = pulling my hair out  (Read 1259 times)

I cannot get Asteroids to speak and blink the right buttons after I assign the buttons in MAME (tab).

I used the controls editor and setup the correct buttons to the correct inputs. I verified that is was right by using the test feature.

Then I go into MAME and assign the same buttons I just setup in the controls editor. Exit asteroids, go back in to asteroids, and all the buttons no longer light up and the speak is off too. However the buttons I assigned in MAME do what they are supposed too, fire, thrust etc. They just no longer speak and blink right.

I went back into the controls editor and verified that my asteroids config was still there.

So what the heck? I know its me doing something real stupid I just dont know what it is.  :banghead:

Plz help arzoo, your my only hope (star Wars refrence)  :notworthy:

mark - turn on the debug log and verbose options, run Asteroids, and then email me the debug.zip file. Also email me the asteroid.cfg file from the mame cfg folder.
