It doesn't turn on? Have you decided that you do not want to repair this monitor? I think you should do a little more troubleshooting before giving up.
But If that is the case then there are a few options available.
The equivalent of a 33" arcade monitor is a 32" televison. It might be possible to fit a 32" CRT in there with some modification to the cab.
A 27/29" monitor or TV would have much better chance of fitting. It should just set on a shelf in the space where the old monitor was.
If you are into new games you might consider a wide-screen LCD as a replacement.
You will have to devise a new bezel to cover up the empty space around the screen.
