Display an image (control panel layout) from the frontend
« on: October 29, 2009, 11:21:02 am »
I'm using MaLa and I'd like to display a unique image that shows a control panel layout description. I've used CPV2, but MaLa only lets me use it as a substitution for the game info panel or when I launch a game. I'm using cpv2 -b=image.jpg. Is there any way I can define a hotkey in CPV2? I'd like to use one of my joystick buttons or maybe a key to display that picture while in MaLa. I also have CPVW, but I have no idea what it is for.

Ok, I think I got it. I can do it with controller, external applications, and there run CPV2.exe -b=image.gif but that's only valid for keyboard, not joystick. I could use Autohotkey, but isn't there another way?
