Can't run Dragons Lair on 20th An.Ed. DVD-ROM
« on: October 23, 2009, 04:51:41 am »
So I ordered the DVD-ROM with Dragons Lair 1 & 2 + Space Ace.
Non of the games work properly. I only get to see death after death on all games.
Downloaded some patch from Digitallesiure.com and was told to replace the exe files in C:\DL and C:\DL2 etc... Didn't help.
It also said to put /deaths after the exe in the shortcut properties... It still didn't work.
Any ideas out there? Can I use the movie files with Daphne some how? Is there a "..for dummies"-guide on this?

There are 2 versions of this- the one that is made for DVD players, and the one that says something like "Play it on your PC and XBox".  You want the one that says you can play it on your PC.

I believe this version is out of production now (has been for a few years).  But you can find some NOS copies around and always find it on eBay, if you don't have the right version.

Like DashRendar said there are 2 copies.. The cheap one and the one that works... You want the one that says " DVD-Video, PS2 & Xbox compatible" . This is the one I have and it works great with Daphne.. The Box also is the 20th Aniversary Special Edition.

Like I said in my first post I have the one saying DVD-ROM so it's for my PC.
Any guides out there? OR any way to make this bleedin' DVD work as it was intended? Patches etc.?
