How to combine XBOX360 with Ipac

I am currently building an arcade cabinet. I kinda wondered about the following.

I would like to have a cab that runs both mame and an XBOX360. So to make it simple I have a button connected to the IPAC how do I also connect it to a hacked XBOX pad? Do I just bridge it to the pad? or is it necesary to used diodes or switches or whatever? Schematics would be uber

I don’t know I could not get it to work right. If you use a Max Shooter you can get Player 1 to work with the 360. http://www.imarketcity.com/maxshforxb36.html

Just drop the IPAC and use only the hacked 360 controller, it'll work on both 360 and PC.

You can plug an Xbox 360 controller into a PC and it recognizes it as a joystick.

Doesn’t MAME need a keyboard? If not mame will recognize 2 regular xbox360 controllers?

You need to enable joystick support... or setup Joy2Key.  Either way will work.
