Sick Days Have Never Been So Good
« on: October 21, 2009, 12:22:23 pm »
So I have my two boys home sick today and just brought my Cheyenne down to the basement (killing a dolly in the process ... ---smurfing--- heavy-assed cab).

I'm sitting here typing this, while my elder son plays Exidy's Cheyenne and my younger son plays Atari's Dominos.

For an old man like me, I think it's pretty damned cool that they aren't doing something ridiculous like playing SF Eleventy Rainbow Bright Edition.

Atari Dominos huh.....

I'm giving mine away to a good home. I've had it here for about 3 years now and saw a boardset for sale 1 (one) time and I missed it....
I really don't want to mame it and to be honest, I don't see it ending up in my gameroom anyway.

I hope someone wants it :S...

Sorry, not meaning to get off topic :D

Dominos is not the greatest game out there, but I got to watch my two boys play against each other and then, in unison, ask if we can watch Tron tonight  :applaud: ... and then they asked if I had the Tron cabinet working yet ...   :timebomb:

Will you be getting the Exidy multi-kit? I hope they built in a way to hide "Chiller".  ;)

Going to SB ?

I have my multi ordered and, yes, you can hide Chiller!

Nope, not going to SB ... I don't think ... or maybe ... I was thinking of buying RG's Hogan's Alley, but have no room and even less desire to haul another game down the stairs. Maybe I'll go and see if there is a dolly up for auction ...

As I post this (7:45 AM), elder son is back playing Cheyenne.

That didn't take you too long to get Cheyenne working, nice!  What did it need?

I was sick on Friday and again today (monday) so I have been working on a friends mame cabinet that I have been avoiding for months after the computer fried, took out the only compatible video card I had for Ubuntu and the motherboard was done too. I do find entertainment from good ol' Atari Dominos.
Where's my gold star :P

Monitor still needs some loving in the forms of some caps that I didn't have readily available, but game works great.

That is really going to be worth the purchase when you add the Exidy multi-kit, now I see what you had in mind when you grabbed that cab!

Score!

Yeah, it's going to work out perfectly -- it is easily one of my best purchases ever.
