Artwork Files Q

Can anyone tell me the differance between a backdrop, bezel and an overlay?  These are the addtional artwork files you can turn on and off within in Mame32.  I know what the bezel is and I know to keep them in the artwork DIR.  What are the other two and where do you keep them?

They are all in the same folder/zip file.  Check out bzone's art file.

backdrop goes behind the screen.  Overlay goes ontop of the screen.  In the arcade that's how they added extra art.  Look at dotron with it's background.  Look at space invaders with it's overlay.
