Question about yoke flipping
« on: October 13, 2009, 10:39:09 pm »
Hey all.

I have a Mr. Do! That used to be a Scramble cabinet.  I decided to restore it to it's original Stern glory.

After re-wiring the harness and installing new controls, I finally got a working Scramble PCB and popped it in. It works!  Except the image is flipped vertically.

I took a look at the monitor yoke and all of the wires are individually connected.  I also see where someone color coded the base of the yoke so I can easily see where the wires go.

My question is this:

Is it necessary for me to discharge the monitor before flipping the yoke wires? I don't want to get shocked...  :dizzy:

Thanks!

No, it's not necessary.  But what kind of monitor are we talking about here?  Some flip easier than others.

You just need to swap the frame wires over. The frame only uses about 25 volts so there is no risk of getting a belt.
