Create a new custom res for ArcadeVGA 1 (radeon 7000)
« on: September 30, 2009, 07:11:28 am »
Hi Andy (and others),

I'd like to add a custom resolution to use on my arcadeVGA1 under Windows XP : 272x240@60Hz.

Actually, I need this resolution to display perfectly the 256x240 games that suffers from natural TV overscan (I'm using a TV via scart RGB). In the tehnician menu, I can't adjust the horizontal size ; only vertical size is adjustable.

I'm using now the 288x240 res ; mame adds 16 blank lines on each side, but it's too much ; the arcade perfection to fit the entire TV with no overscan would be 8 blank lines on each side (it's the exact size of the overscan)

I think I've found the registry keys of the Ati driver listing all the custom modelines, but can't figure how to set the hexadecimal values of the new key that need to be created.

Could you help me, please ?
