Artwork for pac-man replica
« on: September 21, 2009, 04:58:30 pm »
Hi there i am building a pac-man orginal 1980 arcade machine, and i have been able to find the bezel, control panel and the marquee artwork but i cant find anywhere the side artwork and the front one, expecially in good quality so if anyone could get me a website or a HQ picture with the artwork that would be great also, im thinking of printing it on vinyl paper, but i dont know the size, so if anyone could know more or less the values. again il be very thankfull

So thanks in advance and cheers to all

For the love of God... Don't use vinyl artwork (self-made, or from twobits.com), or any of the Pac-Man sideart from localarcade.com.

Have patience, and locate a set of stencils. You'll seriously regret using vinyl artwork when the bubbles start showing, or it starts to peel off.

If done properly, the paint will last FAR longer than vinyl will, and can be touched up if needed. As you'll see by many of the Pac restorations here, stencils CAN be found, so as I said - have patience.

almost done with my galaxian to pac-man conversion / restoration...

Before, During;

Almost finished:

 after adding the stencils, I still need to touch up a few spots, and  I still need a NIB monitor, Orange T-Molding, and the PCB. I was thinking about going with vinyl / stickers but I'm glad I applied stencils for the first time and learned alot in the process.

Be sure to check out my blog @ http://www.guscade.com to see the finished result!
