Linksys DD-WRT wireless bridge for xbox
« on: September 17, 2009, 05:41:07 pm »
Just thought I'd share with you guys my latest mini project.

I picked up an old Linksys wireless router on CL and flashed it with 3rd party firmware. Now it acts like a wireless bridge so I can connect my xbox 360 in another room wirelessly.  I'm also going to add another softmoded xbox in the future(it has 5 ports). I wonder if the 360 can browse my network and play my videos? I'll look into that later.

It was pretty easy but the settings took a few trial and error attempts. Not bad for connecting the xbox for $cheap$.

I have three of these in my house.  I went this route instead of running ethernet cables throughout the house.

Works well and I can stream up to 720P video without any issues.
