Mame it or Trade it ----- Tuni, "Radar Zone" machine -----

So I picked up some "junk" cabinets awhile back and just got around to this one. Its pretty dirty but seams to be in great shape. Its a Tuni, Radar Zone machine. It has original cabinet, side art, marquee, control panel, and PCB board. There is no monitor or power supply but other then that i think its all there. I snapped some pictures but I haven't had time to clean it up yet.

So what do ya think.

P.S. this may be the wrong forum but i was hoping if i decided to trade it that some one would take the time to restore it.

hmm well in all honesty i never even heard of those game.

cabinet art looks pretty generic.. (company wise i mean)

but it looks like the cabs in pretty good shape.

if all it's missing is the monitor and psu, then it's easily within the realm of restoring.

i'd probably mame it but keep the side art intact and make a new CP so that it could be restored later to original.

but if you can find someone who would actually restore it or likes the game then i'd trade / sell it to them and get something else..

it's your call here, which would you prefer to do?
Anyone got change for a dollar?

I never heard of it eather to be honest. I looked it up at http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10681 and then found it on my mame list. Its not a fun game. I do hate to destroy it tho, it being so intact. I am not really in a hurry to use that cabinet so i guess if i can find any one who would want to trade/buy it i would take your suggestion and leave it original and just replace the control panel so i don't have any guilt about it.

Trade it, something that rare is not a MAME candidate.

Agreed...... just the fact that there can't be very many of those in a dedicated cabinet form that company, I would keep it intact. Could be the crappiest game in the world, but you own an original form of it...... that's what counts.
Is it worth a gagillion dollars, probably not. But it's still a rare find.
AND it looks to be in really good shape.

Trade it if you don't want it.
That is ....... to someone that would restore it.

Giving your location might help find someone that may be interested in it.

The serial number is 211.  That should tell us a lot.   ;D

If you're in New England I could trade you something for it.  Maybe we could get it working and up to Funspot.

Then again, it might be worth something. Might as well find out.

I am located in Pennsylvania, in the US. After some thought i do agree with the popular vote to not mame it. I think i will clean it up a bit and post some new pictures and see if any one would like to buy it or trade for it. I may even see if i can get it working. I have access to a power supply and monitor so why not. Thanks for all the help.  I will keep you all posted with any updates.

make sure you sell it to someone who wants the game and not a cabinet.. otherwise it'll get mame'ed or at least converted anyway.

i know you can't control what other people do after they buy it, but just putting a for sell sign on it might (actually probably) wont meet the objective of keeping it unmolested.

Too true - I know a guy that was looking for a dedicated Time Pilot.  Finally, one showed up on eBay not too far from him to  pick up.  This guy and the seller actually knew each other thru forums, but didn't know each others eBay handles.

So this guy bid, and ultimately lost, the eBay bid.

The guy that did win went to pick it up, and the seller was going thru showing the insides of the cab, and the guy stopped him.  Said he didn't care about the insides at all as he was going to put a 48 in 1 in there anyway and drop the insides on eBay.

It was only after the fact that the two mentioned above became aware of each other when the seller was griping about the guy parting the cab, and the other guy was like "oh crap, that was you?!?!"
