problem after installing cap kit
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:55:22 pm »
I just installed a cap kit and when I powered everything up I am not seeing any video on my monitor. I didnt hear anything pop and after disconnecting the monitor board I dont see anything damaged. The monitor is lighting up, just nothing displayed. This is a MAME cab and I can hear sound so I know the PC is working.

Any ideas?

Yes, I even discharged it and rechecked everything.

double check your work .

look for solder bridges ( splashes ),  components touching , correct cap polarities.
and as previously mentioned ... board connections,  etc....

Yes I do. I can adjust the screen size and everything, just no image from the pc.

Its working great when I hooked it up to my JAMMA game. Must just be something wrong with my PC.

Thanks for the ideas.  :notworthy:
