Arcade Legends 2
« on: August 29, 2009, 02:04:23 pm »
I know how you guys feel about buying an arcade that's already made, but I'm not a handy guy when it comes to cutting wood, taking measurements, and all that.  Somebody is willing to sell me their Arcade Legends 2 for $1,000.  Do you guys think that's worth it?  Does anybody have experience with these? If I decide I want to put mame on there, would I be able to put a pc in there, hook up the monitor, and then somehow wire the buttons up? I'm not familiar with the wiring of buttons, but I feel more comfortable on that side of the project, over the woodwork.  To me, it seems like a good deal, but that's because I think it's a good base to start with, if I wanted to do my own mame machine.  If I decide to leave it as is, it looks like a nice gui and has 125 games.  Tell me what you guys think.

Well I got a working tekken 3 cab for 50$.... A mame cab is cheap and you definitely don't need to spend 1k.

i have no experience with those, however i have to agree with endrien that 1k is a bit much and you'll still need to put money/work/time into it.

on the other hand his 50 dollar working tekken 3 is probably not a good benchmark for what kinda price you should be expecting to pay for a completely intact functional cab.
Anyone got change for a dollar?
PLEASE HELP NEED Fastmame .70 and .9* releases

Would it be an easy conversion to MAME.... yes.
Heck, there's already a PC and such in it.

Is it worth $1000 ..... no.
No matter what you plan to do with it, it isn't worth that.
