Tempest Trouble

I've been debugging my new system here, which is a CP and it outputs it to my TV through S-Video direct thanks to ATI's multiple outputting software, thus no special programs here (Thus no AdvMame, using Mame32Plus).  What you see on the monitor is what you see on the TV.
Last night i went and played tempest, and the game was off half of the screen, like in the lower right corner.  So i hooked up the monitor to see if it was the TV (I have a widescreen) and it is the same thing!  Monitor is messed too.  I have played other games and they are fine.  But i did notice some of the older games (early 80's) are doing the same thing.  And now that i think about it, it may only be Vertical games.  Does anyone have this problem, know how to fix it?

I really do not think this is the answer - but - when I was using Mame32 (now using emulaxian, I love the thing) I would have an issue with some of the games being pushed about an inch to one side.  With me I fixed it by playing the games without the bezel or ... darn.... there are 3 sets of artwork you can use when running the games - bezel/backdrop/and another.  I would only allow it to use backdrop.  Either the bezel or the other were throwing it off.  And what was strange was that these games didn't even have bezel artwork (which may have been the problem?).  I figured it was trying to create a frame around the picture or something for the bezel and was throwing the picture off center.

Again, yours sounds more severe than mine so I do not know if this will be your fix - but it is worth a shot.

:) Rotate or die! :)
