ArcadeVGA / D9200 issue
« on: July 11, 2003, 06:55:28 pm »
Hi,

I have a brand new computer, blank hard disk, ArcadeVGA and D9200 arcade monitor.

I'm trying to install Windows XP using the monitor, and everything starts out fine up until the screen where you have to agree with the XP license. At that point the bottom third of the screen is black. You can still see the top 2/3 just fine. Any idea why this happens?

TIA
mohrt

This happened to me too.... only way i found to get around it
was to install xp with a regular monitor attached and a regular
video card and then swap them out after xp was installed.  Then boot
to safe mode and install the arcadevga drivers... then all was fine.
Sorts a pain but it worked.

Yeah isn't that weird? It happened to me 2 times in a row before I just plugged in a different video card, installed xp, and replaced the video card drivers.  I thought it was strange.

I ended up installing half blind :-) I knew F8 would agree to the licence, I was then fortunate enough to just hit ENTER a few times to install the rest, since I didn't need anything outside of the defaults.
