how to fix monitor jumpiness

When you hit a machine and the monitor jumps or flickers what is the cause of this and how can it be fixed.

wrong forum!  but when mine does it, it's because the grounding strips on the edge of the monitor aren't making good contact.  I push them down harder and it stops.  I need to tape them down better.

ooops. realized i posted in wrong forum sorry.

Anyway, on a 25" monitor where are they located and are they accesable without taking anything apart. What do they look like?

idunno, this is just on my monitor, but those strips are copper, and they're under the front plastic frame on the top and bottom of the tube.  Actually, they're adhered to the plastic frame.  I suppose that over time, they can pull away from the tube or something...  Mine is a regular computer monitor btw, so your problem could be totally different.
