how do you take off...

The little pcb thats on the end of the monitor tube, do you just pull it off or is there something keeping it on there.

The neckboard.  You should be able to pull it straight off.  Be careful not to bend the pins.

Thank you i got it, when it didnt just slide off i figured there was something holding it on there.

Nope, nothing other than friction holding the pins in their sockets.

There's usually a dab of silicone on there to keep it from falling off during shipment and such.
So there may have been a bit of that hanging onto it.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Strogly suggest that you use a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully remove the silicone (or in our case hot melt glue).

Power off of course!!

If not you run the risk of pulling off the plastic socket on the end of the tube.
